Dear Friends,
I'm writing on behalf of Dont Go Gently to ask for your help at a time of urgent need in Nepal.
We've worked in Rasuwa since 2012, supporting village schools and running a medical clinic in Thulo Syabru. The recent flooding has devastated this district. The village of Syabrubensi, just 600 metres below Thulo Syabru, bore the full force of the disaster — local contacts report more than 60% of villagers lost their lives, and the town's medical clinic, along with many of the buildings were destroyed. Our clinic in Thulo Syabru is now serving a much wider area at the moment medical support is needed most.
This isn't new territory for us. After the 2015 earthquake, we provided emergency shelters and temporary classrooms, built 15 homes for the poorest families, and helped rebuild the local monastery.
We've spent over a decade building trust with the Tamang community, and we'll still be there long after other aid has moved on.
Donations will go toward strengthening the clinic, supporting displaced families, sourcing urgent medical supplies, and helping the community rebuild. Because we already have people and relationships on the ground, your support reaches people directly and immediately.
Don't Go Gently is run entirely by volunteers who cover their own travel costs. The only people paid are local Nepali staff — so every dollar donated goes to the community, with no overheads.
Please consider donating to our Nepal flood relief appeal. Your generosity will help sustain a clinic and community that families now depend on more than ever.
